Jordan to Sudan
 

Myself and a few friends are doing London to Cape Town this year in a RHD Disco 3 and we are just curious if anyone recently has done this journey? We want to avoid Egypt due to their Carnet fees. We know that we can get a ferry from Jeddah to Port Sudan but the Saudi embassy isn't getting back to us about whether we would get a transit visa in a RHD vehicle, they only allow LHD. So we are just weighing up our options at the moment.

Are there any options in getting ourselves and a vehicle from Jordan to Sudan avoiding Egypt and Saudi Arabia? How much does it cost and any other general information about the route taken? Thanks
