Irkutsk to ulan ade
 

G'day guys I'm doing a round trip coming from Vladivostok and riding through ulan ude through to irkutsk( has anyone down this route recently, any road adobe/timing) and we would like to find an alternate route back. Seem like to ferries really go to the east?

Huh? Ferries across what, lake Baikal? This road hugs the south shore of Baikal, I'm not aware of any alternate routes but at least it is more scenic than most of the route you'll be on...
