Is india part of this route doable and safe for cycling..
 

A Turkish friend started cycling asia solo and currently in Pakistan happily.
Would like to have your kind advices for his India route..
Is it safe and doable?

Apart from the lunatic driving which your friend would have already experienced in Pakistan, India is a relatively safe place to travel. I have cycled there for a few months and had a good reception from people, especially in the south where they tend to be more friendly anyway.

My friend is just in lahore so internet connection and speed problem is just over for a while..Hopefully will be in hubb. soon.

Can he get in touch with you online to have some advices,probably in details..

I meet several cyclists,hikers and bikers in İstanbul coming from that direction and still hear sad stories about cycling and camping outside touristic areas, aspecially most dangerous traffic for slow vehicles,trafic jam..
(Just remembered Ed's India clip),

He is just graduated from Uni. and targetted to realise his dreams before becoming a part of the system..
So all of us here are all trying to be helpful to make his trip more comfortable and safe, same as we do for all adv. travellers we meet in İstanbul...
