Has anyone ridden Rd 622 in Iceland, it is one of the red difficult roads. I can only see information about 4 wheel drive vehicles, nothing about motorbiking it

We didn't travel the entire peninsula, however drove (car not bike) to the Svalvogaviti lighthouse from Þingeyri. The guide books say it's the most difficult road in Europe - it's not that tough, and I could ride it on a touring bike with no problem, at least the half we drove.

I don't think the part we didn't drive is more difficult, however it's described as tough because a section is driveable only at low tide, apparently, on a surface which is large pebbles/rocks.
