It was hard work cycling up there dressed like that.....lol

Met a couple who'd cycled up there, we took one anothers photos in front of the sign. Best part was free wheeling 5 miles downhill to Val d'Isere with the engine off, very strange only hearing the noise of rubber against tarmac. Managed to reach well over 50mph.

We do this freewheeling all the time. It's lots of fun to race each other or overtake unsuspecting Sunday drivers. They must think we're riding them new fandangled electric bikes!

You get to see quite a lot of wildlife that way, especially marmots.

Absolutely, whilst freewheeling, I was also perfecting my "taking photos whilst riding" technique & managed to smeak up on a Marmot at 30-40mph, photo was a bit blurred though.
