How do I get to Africa????
 

Hi all.

I have been very active on the HUBB the past few month. First I wanted to ride to Thailand, but due to financial and safety issues I have chosen to do an africa trip, beginning i marts 2014.

Now I only have about two month to plan my trip, so I need all the help I can get.

My biggest problem/challenge now is how to get from Europe to Africa. I can¨t find any information about ferrys from Turkey to Egypt, so my best guess is to go from Cypres to Israel and then by land to Egypt.
But what about Israely passport stamps? Is that a problem?

I would go via Spain or Gibraltar to Morocco where there is a regular ferry service.

Personally I would stay away from the middle east and Eqypt at the moment. Where are you starting from?

I am planning the eastern route down to South-Africa.

I am not worried about Egypt as long you stay out of demonstrations an so on.

Yesterday I found out that there is a possibility to get a visa to go into Libya, so I am hoping that that will do the trick.

Have any one done the Lybia tour resently?
