honey moon in morocco

I want to take my wife to be on a two's up trip to morocco in September.
This will be our first time on this type of trip together.
I currently have a bmw 1150 gs adventurer but it just seems to heavy and even heavier with the two of us and all our kit, so is there any one out there who can recommend something lighter but reliable.
Oh yes and next year what ever I buy will be going back to morocco next year for a two week overland (solo) with some friends.
Cheers.

If you are planning to keep to the tarmac, the 1150GSA is an ideal bike for Morocco.

If you go solo

take a BMW F650GS !
Best bike ever- tough, lighter than the 1200 (or 1150- you don't need the power) and more able off-road- drinks less fuel too!
and easier to fix when you come off- the advantages of a vertical cylinder are then very much appreciated!:smartass:

F650's are GREAT for solo, and good for two-up IF you're both on the small side - if you're both tall / big, no good. I find them cramped two-up, but I'm over 6'.

Morocco is easy riding, no or very little sand, lots of very hard track, so the 1150 should be just fine. Ride what you have for now - change if you have proven it's too... whatever, then you'll have a better idea what you really want.
