José, you really need to put in a bit more effort than that if you wish any useful help or advice.
How would anyone know where you might like to go or what sort of riding you might like to do and also for your wife, gosh, do you think we are mind readers with amazing crystal balls to tell your future?

Here are some questions you can asks yourselves, just to help you and get you started:
How far do you wish to travel each day?
Do you wish to travel each day?
What do you want to see and get out of such a trip?
What would your wife want to see and get out of such a trip?
Do you want to be mostly on road or off road or you don't care?
Do you wish to camp or stay in the Ritz?
Fine, you have a bike, do you have all the other gear needed?
As you can see the list can go on.

How about spending some time looking at maps and searching the various forums here on the HUBB and talk to your wife, I'm sure she will have ideas.
When you have thought about this, then come back and tell us the criteria of your trip.

Paul,
I have been reading posts and trying to come up with ideas of how/when etc.. take a trip .. a long one on a motorcycle my self.
Not everyone might be as an experienced traveler like you.. so why be so hard on this guy that wants to have an adventure.. Compassion goes long ways...

José, I am sorry if you think I am being hard or critical with what you have written in your first post, my intentions were to give you some insight into how I read your post asking for advice. For me, what you have written is so open ended it does appear to me as if you have not put any thought or effort into your quest.

GypsySoul, I agree with you, in that compassion goes a long way, it is very true as this is something I keep in mind when communicating with others. Compassion is also about being real and authentic in having empathy with another. I hope this was not lost on José.

Compassion which importantly means, understanding I see is often misunderstood by people. In this case, it is that I write explaining how I read José's post. My hope is that this shows I have taken the time to think and to pose questions and suggestions to him rather than pass it by leaving José none the wiser.

I doubt it would be of any help to José if I simply answered to his first post with 'oh, yeah José, go to the Italian Alps, you'll love it, just go'. He'll most likely already know about the Italian Alps and may have already have been there, but he does not help us by not letting us know.

My need here is for understanding José's desires with greater clarity, and my guess will also be that the same will apply for others.

I would hope that José is now, together with his wife, thinking more deeply about their needs and wants, as to where he and his wife might like to travel within their constraints defined by time, cost, distance, location and wishes.

Hopefully José can then come back to write more, detailing their constraints clearly.

My personal idea is:
Look at the map and choose a destination after your personal decision.
It all depends on your age, hobbies, likes, dislikes, recommended places, available festivals, way of travelling, season, parents or friends there and your free time which will shape your decision.Generally you make some changes while on the road according to the people you meet, situation, economy, etc.

After 45.s:
Look at the map, check places you havent been to,have a beer or raki at this step, dream it,make it a target,be there to discover, meet new friends, cheers every evening and capture a different piece and colour of the world each time..

That's my experience from life and spirit of adventure travelling now.

Cheers

Jose,
How about riding East towards Turkey for a start? In 2 months you would cover that distance from where you lived easily and plenty to see, touch and smell. I have covered Europe in 2 months staring from the UK but it was rushing and I regretted; though I covered distance but miss a lot too. So, take your time, stop at places you want more time to spend. Your wife will agree and makes her smile all the way.
Enjoy your trip.

joseros, please try to be more specific.
What is your budget? what do you want to see?

If your are looking for great roads, take a look here http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...st-roads-63024 and search for a destination you can easily reach in two months.

Why not that place you ever want to visit? Or just a random place in the map.
