Guatemala->Honduras at Corinto-Warning!
 

A warning to other travellers to avoid crossing into Honduras from Guatemala at Puerto Barrios-Corinto. What a hassle! We lost three days and had to pay a total of $125. Go to Copan or Aguacaliente instead,much easier, or wait for the joint Honduran-Guatemalan immigration and customs office to open at Corinto.

We did not have any trouble at the Copan crossing last January. I was down there in an Econoline Van...yeah, I suck http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb/smile.gif Anyway, we paid all of our fees to get across and then we found out that the Copan ruins were closed for the day so they refunded all of our money with no trouble. The road there is great for motorcycles as it has lots of curves and hills not to mention that it was two lanes! On the way back we picked up a guy and his flat tire so that he could get it fixed up.
