Greece to Berlin on SYM 200

Been looking through the forum and seen for example Turkish border insurance stuff..

UK passport, live Berlin, USA motorcycle license but also IDP

I'm hoping to buy a SYM 200 or similar and spend a few months starting June ish riding Greece to Berlin.. No set plans or route as I've been traveling this way for years all over Asia, India and a few others..

Questions pertaining to insurance, feasability, comments.. Do's and donts

Apologize for the repetitive question in advance but haven't seen this question..pretty new posting on forum. But long time active in travel forums

Why SYM 200? If you are starting in Germany, you have access to any number of cheap reliable used bikes for the same price. Something like a Honda that has parts support anywhere in the world.

You could go from Greece to Berlin entirely within Schengen (ferry from Piraeus to Bari and up Italy). Any third-party insurance you buy in Greece will already come with a Green Card that will be valid in most of the Balkans (except Kosovo I think?).

Entirely feasible and I'm sure you will have lots of fun until you hit Germany and have to avoid the autobahns.
