good time to travel
 

im planning a west route run through africa but can't leave uk till june.anyone any input on climate??...rain heat etc..ill be in toyota land cruiser...many thanks

We're leaving 5th of july, same route, same car. It is not the most optimal time of travel, but we have no option either. The sahara will be soaringly hot, mali, etc.. will be in the wet season. Try to miss the holiday season in south africa..

All depends on how fast you travel ofcourse.

Maybe we'll see each other on the road!

Hi there,
We are leaving from Holland in september. Planning on overlanding it to South Africa.
We hope to miss the worst heat and most of the rain.
We'll traveling in a Landy 110.
Our website (English and Dutch)is still under construction but I am adding to it regually.
