Getting to Morrocco your views please....

I'm thinking of taking the bike on a train from Brussels to Narbonne then getting the ferry from Sete to Nador? Problem is I can't find the train that takes the bike though it has been mentioned on this web site, can anybody tell me if it's still running and if so where I can find more details? Has anybody got any experience of this route or can suggest a similar alternative?

Cheers

Easiest way i can think of would be Portsmouth - Bilbao on floating motorway services, then hire a van/pickup and drive to Algeceras,etc...
Or ride it all the way.....:scooter:

Hi

I don't think the Sete one sails all year depending when you're looking at?

We went from Barcelona since it was cheaper than driving down the Spanish coast to Algeceras as we only do 10mpg. It was OK, room with a view turned out to be a close up of a lifeboat, food was quite pricey (I remember the "meat" portion maybe about £10, not too bad, but asking for carrots meant a big plate for another £7 etc etc) and a lot of folks slept in the hallways and stairwells. That was entirely stopped on the return. It does a loop round the Med from Italy, and leaving Spain was about 8hrs late due to bad weather the previous day, so we arrived in Moroccan customs etc at about 11pm when everyone had had a long day and the insurance and money booths were shut. ATM in the Gare Maritime still OK though.

We could have gone from Sete at the time and it was closer to where we were but more pricey, 4 wheels though.

:)
