Did the GMH a few weeks ago. Managed it on a Goldwing with wife on the back. but would not like to do it on a new one. Quite a few miles of rubbish roads. But nothing prepares you for the Georgian drivers on the better roads.
Green card for russia. No insurance for Georgia.

We crossed the border from Russia to Georgia 3days ago. Verry quick, much less hassel then going into russia from Latvia. And the georgian military highway is very beatiful but not so hard, some small parts are à bit bumpy but not like the rumor says,

we take this road last year , all i'ts ok , no problem to croos the border georgia/russia;
No problem to take assurance no sail assurance in georgia and in russia we don't try were we can take it.
