From Egypt to turkey
 

Hi. My son and I are in the middle of a RTW trip in two KLR, we started it in Colombia last august, now we are in Zambia heading north to Egypt, we expect to be there by mid February.

According the the research I have done, now there are two possibilities to go to turkey from Egypt due that the direct ferry has been closed. The first one is from Israel to Cyprus and after to Turkey and the other one is by land from Egypt to Jordan and Syria.

Which one do you recommend the most?

You can forget traveling through Syria at the moment. They have a brutal war going on.

Check out this thread, it looks like you just go to a port in Egypt and find a ship or cross into Israel and on to Turkey

I think you need to go like this: Egypt to Jordan, Jordan to Israel, Israel to Cyprus, and from here to Greece or Turkey !
