Flying bikes from Russia to Alaska.

Hi there.

Does anybody know the current situation with flying bikes from Vladivostok or Magadan over to the States or Canada.
I'm keen to ride the Rode of Bones next month but worried I may not be able to fly the bikes out from Magadan.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Magadan is probably the end of the longest dead-end street in the World.

The only way out is back to Yakutsk or by sea to other Russian ports.

The airport is for internal flights only these days.

The best option would be to put bikes on a cargo ship to Vladivostock. There are ships leaving every few days and it takes between 7 and 12 days depending on route and stops on the way. Some ships may take you as well, but they are not ferries or passenger ships.

From Vladivostock there are fairly regular container ships to Vancouver and/or Seattle. Alternatively there is a ferry to South Korea from where cargo planes regularly fly to USA/Canada.
