Ferry info from Piraeus to Turkey Needed

I'm travelling from the UK to Syria and Jordan via Italy and hopefully Greece.
There are loads of ferries that go to Italy to Patra from where I can ride to Piraeus.

This is where I am starting to have problems in getting to the Turkish mainland.

Can anyone give me any upto date information/best way to do this as it looks like many of the ferry routes are seasonal.

Thanks

Julio

Why you don't take the direct ferry from Ancona (Italy) to Cesme (Turkey)? It takes a couple of days.

An alternative is a ferry Piraeus-Kos (a greek island) and the the small ferry Kos - Bodrum (Turkey).

The third option - and, in my point of view, the best - is to ride your bike from Greece to Turkey. It's just a couple of days of driving and you can see at least Meteoras (in Greece) and Istanbul.

I personally tested all the three options I mentioned above, and the third one is definitely the most pleasant! And if you can ride from Italy to Turkey through the Balkans it's even better...
