Ferries to Morocco
 

Does anyone have update information on ferry crossing from France to Morocco ? I'm planning a three week trip and ideally I want to sail from the South of France direct to M. during the first week of May 2003.

There is or used to be a ferry from South France, I believe it was out of Sete to Nador. But last year it was only sailing from late May till the end of September.
I haven't been able to find it back yet.

There is a ferry from Sete (near Marseille) to Tanger, operating all year. Have a look at their web site:

They have schedules and rates online. We took the ferry mid October 2002 without a ticket and were quite lucky cause there were a lot of other bikes already. I'd recommend to book in advance.

Whaw, don't think they already did this last year?

Nomiskx, don't know where you are comming from but have you considered taking the overnight 'car / sleep train to the South of France?
Makes the whole trip to get to Marocco a quite short and comfy one.

That website is in French, but as far as I understand they only sail from june to september!

We are going to Morocco in April and seriously considered going with the cartrain from Brussels to Southern France (goes every friday and back on saturday)and then by boat to Morocco. But it seems that there is no ferry going except for the summer months.

We now are planning to drive to southern Spain by car and then take the ferry with the bikes.

Done exactly that last year in May. Only the ferry was not sailing out of Sete yet so I had to ride down to Almeria.
The cartrain is a great way of travelling!
If you do a search on 'fact file marocco' you'll find the info that I posted on the site.

Thanks for all the help, suggestions and links. I can get to a ferry very easily because I live in the Pyrenees in the South of France. So I'm going to investigate that first.
