Europe, Easter 2007, 10 day trip from Pompey
 

Planning a trip from Portsmouth to Europe for the first 10 days in April 2007.
Now I would like to see some of the newer EU joiners, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech republic. Where do you realistically think I should go for a worthwhile mini-tour. I figure the trip through France/Germany will be pretty rapid @ 500 miles + per day, but once I get to the newer EU states what then?
I'll be on my 20yo VFR, I don't mind the rain too much, you get used to it in England!

i don't know if you've done much like this before, but my thought is that you're biting off more than i, personally, would want to chew.

i did holland, germany, slovakia, hungary and romania a couple of years ago but i took 4 weeks to do it and still found myself covering 1,400-1,500 miles in two days to get back :) (not advisable, but fun to do!).

what route are you thinking of taking?

if i were you, i'd stick to one destination, get there quick by all means but then resolve to travel slowly over short distances for the balance of your time there or you'll end up so knackered that you won't enjoy being there... like i say, big distances are kind of fun in one sense, but they don't make for relaxed riding.
