Dublin, Ireland to Nimule, Sudan

Am planning a trip next year to travel from Dublin to Nimule in South Sudan. I am involved with a charity Angels of East Africa and our plan was to drive a jeep with supplies to Sudan and leave it there. Now we're thinking that we'll either escort the jeep on our bikes or buy bikes and ride there and leave the bikes there.

I've done a bit of research into routes and am finding out lots of things but am struggling with which route is best.

Apparently there are no ferries crossing from Europe to top of east africa.
If we go to Morocco, do we need to travel down the west coast to Nigeria and then head east?

Are there countries that need to be avoided? or countries that we just won't be able to go through??

Is it madness to even consider Turkey, Syria,Jordan, Saudi, Sudan?
What is the problem with Egypt?? Is the carnet expensive??

Thanks guysbier

Probably all problems in the area will be over until next year and we hope and recommend you dont miss any beauty in Turkey and mid-east countries.
If not, you will get the best solution and support by our club.
Lets keep in touch.

I would say the simplest route with least borders would be ferry from France or Italy to Tunis, across the top of Libya (done a few weeks ago - will get easier) into Egypt and down into Sudan for South Sudan.
