Crossing Libya and Sudan
 

Does any one know if it is possible and/or advisable to get through Libya to the border with Sudan, and then what Sudan is like.

Trying to figure out my trans africa route.

There is no recognised route this way (Libyan patrols may send you back) although its popular with smugglers. Personally, if this is your first time in the Sahara this way is a bit ambitious.
Go via Chad otr Egypt.
