Confession
Setting up my circumnavigation of the Americas took less than a week. Times have changed. I am older - a mature citizen of 76 rather than a sprightly kid of 73. I intend riding round India this coming winter. First step is to attempt passing a UK bike test. I have other licenses - most of them doubtful. But I have never ridden in the UK. The weather had put me off. The DSA are setting up the new test for me the first week in April. I shall begin practicing on Monday. My kids will mock the Hell out of me if I fail...!
Should, I pass, I will give myself a present. A Honda 125. My CG carried me 60000 trouble-free kilometers through the Americas. Why change? However I do want electric start - and I fancy a custom seat. :mchappy: |
If you don't pass it will not be due to lack of experience - good luck.
Rob PS - enjoyed "old man on a bike" - it dispelled a lot of the myths |

Suspect your "Never too late" motto may be used during your discussions with the DSA examiner. Good luck from me and my daughter, Abi, also sends her best wishes after meeting you at the Ace Cafe a few weeks ago. |
