Carnet de Passage Confusion

Hello,
I'm planning for an overland trip through the SE Asia, starting from Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, India & Bangladesh.

However, I have been informed that with the Carnet de passage I'll not be allowed to enter a country twice. For example, exiting Thailand and entering Laos, and reentering Thailand to enter Myanmar.

Is it allowed to enter Thailand Twice, similarly, I'm having another situation when entering Bangladesh.

I'll be glad if anyone could throw some information.

Surely you need to find out "WHAT" countries will want to see a Carnet de passage? Thailand don't Laos don't

As far as I am aware there is no limit to how many times you can enter a country on the same carnet but it is limited to a total of 180 days in one country per carnet.

My ATA was valid for 1 year? and the amount of stay allowed in a country must be linked to your current visa for that country? yes/no

As far as the carnet is concerned .. sounds like a lie. Or a misunderstanding.

Who told you that?

There may be visa limitations ... meaning that the visa you get is single entry. And visas are for a person.

The carnet is for the vehicle, and the carnet itself has no limitation on multiple entries. And as said above .. the carnet may not be required for these countries at all.

"limitation" is only by the amount off pages?

The carnet issuer includes as many pages as required for your trip.. if your plan changes then you can probably get more pages from the issuer. If you are concerned about it then state how many pages you think you might require before the carnet is issued. .

The Carnet is a customs document and has nothing to do with visa. So it cannot ever be an issue.
Multiple entries is a visum issue.
