We went round Ireland a few years ago in two weeks: Ferry to Belfast, accross to Donegal, then down west cost, Ring of Kerry, Cork, Kilkenny, up to Dublin and then back to Belfast. Wasn't that keen on the cities but don't miss the west cost and south western bits like Kerry etc as there's some fantastic scenery. Loads of great campsites and villages to stay in, and make sure you B&B it to get the homemade soda bread in the morning!

Just a quick run down of what I would do.

get out of Dublin ASAP, good place to go on the beer but not that great to see,

I would head down through the Wicklow Mountains to Glendelough, a fantastic site of an old monastery, there are some lovely villages and twisty roads on the way down, there will also be loads of bikers around.

I'd then head down to Kilkenny, which is a lovely town/city.

head into to Tipperary, where you have to see the Rock of Cashel.

Then down to the Ring Kerry, which is fantastic,

For Music I'd say Clare and Galway are your best places, but try to stay away from the tourist spots and find some impromptu sessions which are generally brilliant. (the monks in Thurles, Co Tipperary on a Wedn night)

You should definitely go to the West Coast as previously said, the Burren in Clare is great and Galway is by far the best city in Ireland.

In general I'd stay out of the cities (except Galway and Kilkenny). Ask the locals, publicans, B&B owners, shop keepers, the old man on the street and they will all set you right.

I might be around Tipp if you fancy a pint.

try posting on www.biker.ie I'm sure the lads will look after you

You will have a ball enjoy.

If you have any questions you can e-mail me

Hi man, If you're going up to Galway and then back to Dublin, I'm in Tullamore - half way between the 2-ring if you wana go for a pint.00353879929772.
MAkes sure you get to the Wicklow mountains.Head for the Sally GAp and then down to the Wicklow Gap -great roads.
Be aware the roads over here can be a lot rougher than those you're used to.
Watch them closely
Should be loads of people out this weekend
Oh, one more thing - If you come over good friday ALL THE PUBS ARE SHUT!!!!
WONT BE ABLE TO GET A PINT ANYWHERE
Have fun man
Kevin
