Buying a bike in Peru, Jan 04, selling Feb 27.
 

I'm right at the begining of planning my trip (map spread out on the floor marking up where i'm going stage!).
I've read through loads of threads (really useful but you can lose hours!) and I've come to the conclusion that it's going to be cheaper to buy a bike, rather than rent one (considerably trickier though).
I'm still not certain about whether I can do the same as in Argentina, ie; buy a bike with duel ownership (the other person being a native). Or "borrow" the bike with the relevent paperwork.
I'm hoping to cross borders but after the problems I had in asia I might not bother!
Anyway, I digress.
