On that route i would really recommend the youth hostels (its better than it sounds and you don't have to be young) at Tongue and Glen Prosen (the later is a remote tiny school house which has been converted - its at the end of a valley and not a through road so skip this step if not staying). Britain, where to go.
It depends what you want to see but a week is plenty. You can cross Wales comfortably in a day so its more your itinerary that will drive the time.
I'd take 3 days for the route i marked up, before allowing for detours and activities. |
