hELLO AGAIN ALL..!

Due to circumstances, I will be in Florida next week, and am looking to pick up a smallish bike and just set off south into the sunset with my tent and fishing rod....I have been checking this out for years, but suddenly find it possible with little preperation time...( I have an r850 bmw here that I can ship to the US instead of buying a bike there, ).....all advice welcome ....!!
Another possibility is just fly into Chile, seems to be the only place a foreigner can buy a bike, then ride it around and back up north....??
