Brit flying to Nepal to take Bullet to Oz
 

If I as a Brit wanted to go to Nepal to buy a Bullet and then ride it to Oz and eventually ride or ship it back to England, what's the sequence with buying, getting a carnet and visas?
I can't get a carnet without a bike. I don't want the bike if I can't do the trip.

Is it possible, or sensible, to buy the bike while I'm at home, get the carnet sorted while I'm buying the bike and all while I'm getting some of the visas?

I think import tax on vehicles in Nepal is in the region of 2000%.. so buying in Nepal would be expensive...
