Best route for Northern Pakistan?
 

Hi folks.

I’m planning a ride for myself and friends to Nepalor Northern Pakistan.

We rode the India Himalayas (Ledakh Region) in June 2024 and had a anazing time, so we are wanting another dose of those exhilarating mountains and roads!

I was working with a couple of Nepal tour companies but switched to Northern Pakistan when I saw how much more expensive Nepal was compared to Northern Pakistan (Pakistan is a similar price to India Himalayas).

So I’ve contacted 2 companies (Saiyah and Northern Bikers Pakistan) to come up with a route to experience the best Northern Pakistan has to offer.

I sent both companies the roads/areas a Google search came up with for suggestions (ie: custom route).

I would like your advice which is the best route as I don’t have any knowledge of the areas.

The first image is 21 days (2 rest days), riding Zongshen RX3 250’s (fuel injected), 6 riders cost $3900US. We start and end in Islamabad.

The second route image is 19 days (1 rest day), riding either Suzuki GS150 or Yamaha TTR250 (both carbureted), 6 riders cost $2750US. We start in Islamabad but end the ride by flying back to Islamabad from Skardu.

So which route is the most amazing…?

If the more expensive route is better I’m okay spending the extra $.

But the second route has us flying back to Islamabad so that might be nicer than retracing our ride to Islamabad, but I’m thinking the RX3 250 is better than the Yamaha TTR250?
