Attention Pls..
Sochi port is going to be closed officially ın September 1.st but practically almost closed. Once a week a ferry service available from Trabzon to Sochi but without any schedule and guaranty.
2014 Winter Olympic Games will be organised in Sochi and Russian government has decided to start construction works.
Even not ready yet for international port services, Adler Port will be used very soon instead of Sochi that is just 30 km. away.
Nothing more is clear presently. According to our talks with official and ferry-roro company authorities, new situation will be clear within 3-4 days.

If there is anyone in East Turkey and planning to get the Trabzon Sochi ferry to ride to inner Russia, this one may be the last one.Georgia border to Abhazia is closed for foreigners.

This Thursday at 5 pm.You must be there not earlier or later than 2 pm.
Ferry company office is just over the highway tunnel at the entrance of the city by the seaside. Company name. Sarı Denizcilik. 0462-3217797. Prices 250,--USD.for the bike, 120,-- for a passenger or 150,-- for a room with bed.

For the following weeks, nothing is clear but you can call the ferry company on Monday afternoons whether there is a ferry that week or not..
