Africa GPS route trading
 

Hey, first and foremost I hate to post a thread about something that has probably been covered 200 times but...

GPS routes
I have finally figured out how to put maps on my Garmin (sad really...), I am using openstreetmaps.nl which so far looks great, as I am not paying for no maps after selling my left nut for a GPS. Can anyone suggest a website where people can trade and rate GPS routes (looking more for Africa), I am heading into Africa for the year and want to take some more interesting routes, if I can download some routes other people suggest it would save the the hassle of making my own sometimes and if they're rated then it would be awesome to know of routes people recommend.

I have seen Tracks4Africa but I am a bit confused where peoples routes are.

T4A is a map, not a collection of other's tracks, although it will be built using people's track logs. A free alternative might be open street map that is excellent for Latin America, Europe and Far East Russia imho.

T4A was great for me in the south of Africa but seemed very un-detailed in the north.

A track sharing website that I've used for Europe is wikiloc. Don't know how the African coverage is as I've never tried it for that area.
