BTW,don't you know what your OWN county's flag looks like? :censored:, The top third of the flag is saffron, not red. Or do you feel it should be changed to match your costume, the one with the zipper pull sticking out.

You are right about the timing. It is something we should have noticed earlier. It is a very hot time of year to be travelling in Australia. If I had any recommendations in regards to timings, I would suggest doing the northern half of Australia in November/December (ie first) and then the southern half after Xmas. Northern Australia is very hot and humid, and subject to monsoonal rains. These rains are particularly heavy from just north of Townsville all the way around to Broome. Some of the heaviest rain I have ever seen anywhere in the world was in Darwin in February.

Might be a bit late to change dates now (and if you plan to sleep in hotels it won't be that much of a big deal) but it's something to be aware of.

On the bright side, Australian beer tastes so much sweeter in summer. Have fun

@brett : yes, many people have informed me about that but i guess we have to take that as part of the adventure :)

I have arrived in Melbourne and will be preparing for the trip until end of this month when i leave.
