TravellingStrom Does the USA

Well, I have been a bit lax, but let me make amends.

I am currently on the USA leg of my RTW, and have forgotten to post a link here.

I am doing a sort of blog but not on this site, my own, that way I can get larger pictures, personal preference, no disrespect.

Anyway, the trip started on the 1st April and has been fun and of course a steep learning curve as well :)

The latest = 2009 April 23 « TravellingStrom

The preperation and all that are just prior to my leaving Oz on this date

Cheers

Your blog certainly rekindled memories of my way-too-short Death Valley visit a few years back... if i do get back to the States it's getting re-visited. A ridiculously beautiful region, enjoy!

Hi there and thanks for the tip, created one just then.

I will think of something to write and send it in.

I see you're in my neck of the woods, er sand, according to your spot checker link. How long, if at all, are you staying here in Yuma? PM me, but I will be at work Friday.

G'day all another update on my progress :)

I spent some time up north but my visa expired 26th Sep, so I did a week of bike prep in San Diego with the help of a new found friend(thanks SanDiegoLand) and the crossed the Mexican border at Sonyota.

I have since then rode down into Copper Canyon to Batopilas where I crashed the bike, and after 3 days stuck there during fiesta time with lawless gun toting drunks, escaped(lol) and am currently just west of Mexico City where I am to be hosted by Gary and his family. Here is a couple of preview shots of the Fiesta

Another week of looking at the Mayan and Aztec ruins here and in the Yukaton before entering Belize then a weeks study at a Spanish school in Guatamala.

Cheers

Well, I have finally completed Central America

Now for the next leg, South America

I have a few days wait in Puerto Linden, east of Portobello while I wait for the boat to sail on the 19th, it may run late, hopefully not too long as there is no internet except 56k dialup.

For that reason, the blog will be up to date today, then only the Spot tracks and OK messages will show if I am moving and above the water.

Cheers
