Hi folks this is a link to photo's from a trip i did in 2008 on a Honda Ctx 200 from Capetown to Luanda, Angola.I did about 18,000 kms in four and a half months.I was heading to England but got very sick in Angola with malaria and after a lot of thought i cancelled the rest of the route north.I got about a third of the way to the UK,you make the best decision you can at the time given the circumstances.I was on dirt roads as much as i could be.The best parts of each country were Swartburg pass,meiringsport,die hell,bavianskloof in ZA,Sossuvlei,spitzkoppe,brandberg then from epupa falls along the 4wd track to ruacana, tough track, Caprivi strip to Botswana then back to Rundu for Angolan visa in Namibia.Into Angola from Kititwe following a river on bombed out tracks from the war up to Menongue over to Lubango on a very sandy track with lots of visible land mines one i nearly rode over,Namibe where i started to get sick then up to Huambo and onto Luanda where i had to make the tough decision to turn around.Then back to Namibia to recuperate then fly up to England for a van trip.At the end of the photos are brief notes as well that i wrote at the time.I had a great trip overall,Ron.

Thanks Jim,The honda dealers in Cpt were great and the parts guys very helpfull.I used their address to get it registered and the carnet from AA Cpt.
