a round trip the isle Tholen in Zeeland in The Netherland

Today I published a new video on my Motormobilist motorcycle channel on YouTube. In the Netherlands, we have a lockdown and we are not allowed to go abroad so now I make videos in The Netherlands.

This one is about a round trip on my BMW R850R on the isle Tholen in Zeeland in The Netherlands.

If you like this video, please, give it a thumbs up in YouTube, subscribe to the Motormobilist channel and tell your friends about it :-)

I do like your videos Jan. Just about the right length to sit down for a coffee break and watch you ride through an area I don't know. My only other comment on this one would be it did look a bit bleak, but then again it was January so what can you expect.

Riding in the snow on a big bike like your BMW is not my idea of fun. It's not too bad on a small bike though. A couple of years ago I rode my 125 down to a flat we have in the French Alps and the snow was awful (as I suppose you'd expect in a ski resort) This was the scene when we opened the curtains:

That's my bike boots on the bench in front of the window.

It was similar to this on the road outside

I'm going to have to work out some systems for doing high quality filming like yours so I can do a few videos myself come the summer. It's the sort of thing I always wished I could do when I was heading off to places many years ago but the technology wasn't either affordable or any good (16mm camera mounted on your handlebars anybody).

I don't like riding in the snow and if I can I will avoid it.
When I was a lot younger, I didn't mind to much and I used my bikes to ride to work, all year round.

I had a few holiday trips, with Easter, in the snow that I remember

One time, in 1982, I went to Luxembourg on my BMW R60/5 with my wife as pillion. On the Franchorchamps racetrack, we were doing 30km/h in the snow. Fortunately, later that day, when we arrived in Larochette in Luxembourg, the weather was improved a lot.

In 1977, I went to Luxembourg on my Honda CB125S in the snow. That was exciting too ;-)

In 1975 I went to Luxembourg on my Benelli T50 Moped, in the snow.

Now I prefer riding in spring and autumn as the sun is shining ;)
