Thank you for watching!

What I would do differently.. That's an excellent question!

The first and main mistake we did, was that we rode many miles every single day (we were averaging 480 miles/day) without spend any time explore small towns. That fatigue was keep building and building to the exhaustion.

We missed Lake Louise. We should have spend an entirely one day over there without just pass by and keep moving.

Most of the times we were chasing hotels because we had already reservations for the next point from the previous night. In this trip, you shouldn't make any reservation so you ride free without stress "what if I don't make it tonight to my destination". Once you feel tired you just get a room, if you can't find a room, you through the tent and that's it! If you like a place, you can just spend the night in that place. If you have reservations, you are not free.

I overpacked the bike. I had with me over 20 sets of underwear when in reality, with only 5 sets should be more than fine. Why? Because for sure, every 5 days you want to have a hotel or motel room and that's where you do the laundry. I highly recommend "underarmor" underwear because of the fast drying material!

Before that trip, I did a very big service on my bike, however I didn't change sprockets and chain per my mechanic recommendation. Make sure before such a trip, if your bike has over 10k miles, to at least replace that chain (sprockets as well, but not as important as chain). Riding off-road, especially the Dalton Highway or the Dempster, with the notorious Calcium Chloride mud, moving parts like chain and sprockets take a big hit.

I believe if I would do all of the above differently, trip would be way smoother and more enjoyable. However I enjoyed every single day and I'm ready to go back! :)

Thanks for sharing. If you do it again, and had a $30k gift card for new motorcycle - what would you ride?
