Over 3000 KMs, through 6 countries, a scar to tell the story for this moment of perso

Fellow riders, my name is Aziz and i am from Kuwait. In this thread i will be writing about my first long distance ride. I will try to go through the experience, the reason behind it and how i feel about it now.
It's been a while since I started having this urging need to do this, i needed it, i wanted it and I felt it. I imagined all the details, my goodbyes, my will, and the faces of the three guardian angles that will be in front of me. I felt the peace of Manamah, the loneliness of Al-Hasa, the confusion of Doha, the energy of Dubai, and Muscats authenticity.
I picked my ride, i choosed the KTM 1050 Adventure and i started ridig daily in city in the beginning and later on i started to do longer rides in the weekends (70 - 100 KMs).
I sat a date for the trip i planned for, i wanted to celebrate my new year during or on my way back to home so i decided on leaving on the 26th of Dec. 2015. As planned i saddled my bags and took of heading to Manamah which is 400 Km away and i can't describe my feelings once i took the first highway in a moment of realisation that i am actually doing this i was smiling throughout all the way to Manamah. I reached ny first destination with no problems or issues other than a small delay in the Saudi - Bahraini borders because i had to tow the bike to cross the bridge that connects the two countries because bike are not allowed to be ridden on it. I met with some good friends and had a lovely dinner with them and went back to my hotel room and went to bed to get ready for my second destination which was Doha. This time i was more prepared for the bridge issue so i called the towing truck to pick me and the bike frome the hotel. On a slightly longer stretch a 450 KMs ride was enough to give me a sense of isolation that made me more focused on myself and my surrounding and here is where the real magic began. I found beauty in a place where i least expected to find anything beautiful in. I reached Doha on time and the ride was absolutely trouble free. I stayed in the hotel had a dose of rest and woke up to have a ride around Doha, i stopped in Souq Waqif and had a great meal in a local restaurant which is called Bandar Eden. I went back to my ride and hit the road towards Dubai my third destination. Things went smoothly with a bit of extra excitement because of my love for this city. When i approached Dubai the glamorous reception of its skyscapers made me forget about the tiring 700 KMs ride. I met with some friends over dinner and went for a hotel and got myself a room to spend the night before my last destination which was Muscat. At 10 Am i saddled the bike for the 4th time and headed to Muscat through Hatah. Everything went well and better till i reached the Emirati-Omani borders and that's when the lady in front of me in the car cue decided to reverse for some reason and hit my bike and slammed it on my left side. I was injured and had to be taken to nearest hospital in an ambulance i stayed for three days in the hospital and had to go through a minor surgery on my left ankle which made it impossible to get back to my ride because of the cast and the injury. And guess where i celebrated the new years eve...you're right in the hospital, and hear is what i was thinking and feeling at that time.
"I wish you all a happy new year, this year i celebrated the new years Eve like i never did before. My celebration started with a full tank of gass and the will to find happiness and joy in the smallest details of life. With no judgement i met ppl from different backgrounds and cultures and enjoyed the silliest conversations with them. With the joy of ridind i accepted the pain it caused after the long distances i crossed. This year was different , this year i knew who would i call for help when i feel scared and helpless, this year i knew who really cared and thought about me when i was away. This year i felt loved in a way that made me felt blessed. This year i learned to find the glory in my accomplishments regardless of my targets. Finally and most importantly this year i learned that forgiveness is freedome."
I took a plane back to Kuwait after i sent my bike to the dealership to be fixed. In Kuwait i started to realise and absorb the experience and i always felt that it changed me it changed the way i feel about myself, but yet something was missing. I was still hungry for more of it i wanted it to be perfect or at least complete. Two months later i flew back to Dubai to end what i once started. I picked up my bike and just before i head to Muscat i changed my mind and decided to go to Khasab which is an Omani village in a different part of oman which means i will pass through Sharjah, Ajman, Om Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and this means i will go through parts of my history as i studied in Ajman and lived in Sharjah for six years and it has been around 10 years since I last saw those cities and i think i made the right decision as i felt so happy to see the building i lived in and the other things and places that meant a lot to me. Passing through the cities i mentioned earlier i reached Khasab and i think that it is the purest form of beauty that i had ever seen it was heavenly beautiful and peaceful. I had lunch in the only hotel i found there which was a quite boutique hotel and then went back to Dubai in the same day. This time i raised the bar on myself and decided to go to Kuwait in one shot the distance is a little more than 1200 KMs and believe me when I tell you for a first timer like me it was really long i wear a short sleeves polo shirt because the weather was nice and that was a mistake because my arms were sun burnt   and other than that and exhaustion everything went well till i reached home safely. Now i can tell you it was worth it. i feel happy, i feel alive and i did what i was always passionate about and this matters at least to me.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c9b4b9f8c1.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3816b74c76.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...5c54524342.jpg[IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

Hi Aziz, welcome to the HUBB!

"I found beauty in a place where i least expected to find anything beautiful in" says it all.

Glad you could finish your trip after the incident, nothing like staying far and away from cities. A first trip, I trust you'll be traveling farther before too long. Ride on!
