London to London eastbound, one year around the world
 

Hello fellow travellers,

After years of "shorter" trips to Nordkapp, Turkey, Italy and Scotland (NC500), of planning and dreaming of an epic adventure, finally, in April 2022, my wife and I left London for a year, final destination.... London :)

Our plan was to head eastbound (map here) and we've reached Iran via France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Georgia and Iraqi Kurdistan. Next up: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Myanmar (if it re-opens) Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Chile, Argentina and up to the United States.

Celine travels on her recently acquired BMW R1200GS and I am on my road-tested BMW R1200GSA, currently in Tehran planning explorations and border crossing to Pakistan.

I may be mistaken but if you’ve been to Iran and Iraq within a year the USA will let you in. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than I will able to confirm this.
