Kazakhstan to Kedleston (UK), 28 countries in 39 days on an XT600E
 

So, we bought the bikes in bits, built them, tested them, dismantled them, crated them and finally flew us and them to Almaty in Kazakhstan. Over the next 39 days we rode, crashed, broke down and charmed our way back to the nearest village to home starting with a 'K' - Kedleston (UK).

In total we rode 8462 miles across 28 countries in 39 days on two Yamaha XT600Es. We hit sub-zero temperatures in the Pamir Mountains at an altitude of 4655m, only to roast in the kiln that is the Turkmenistan desert a week later. Throughout the trip we forgot to get visas, denied knowledge of the customs office existence, accidentally ran from military checkpoints and made friends across a language barrier.
