My first post as a heads up on the road west ( FTN) to Laguna Lachua ...my experience 6 days ago was
that the road was blocked my disgruntled villagers first they let me through then further up the road they blocked a bridge,which I was eventually allowed to pass to find the next village had cut down all the trees for 30m to block the road to a height of 3m no choice but to turn round and head back to Chisec got back to the bridge of course 'no hay pasa'.. another 2 hrs on the bridge in the sun and finally allowed to pass 2k further and another block ....at this point I did the stupid move as the block was only stones and a small tree trunk of jumping the block the villagers came at me with sticks and I gunned it up the road 2k later thanks to the cell phone they were waiting and pissed no choice to stop ...2mins later a pick full of the other guys arrives and insisting I go back .....eventually being English and pleading ignorance... I was allowed to leave....next day tried the rough road from Chitocan got to the of the FTN and same story ...surrounded by angry villagers telling me to go back ...told them hadn't enough gas
eventually allowed to go through the barriers west no to the Laguna... the police said there is nothing they can do....democracy in action...the gripe is that the national park won't give permission for the new FTN though the park...could go on for months...Check it out before you
