Half Hour updates begin today on NBC Sports channel. Most cable networks provide it. In California it's on at 2 pm most days. Bikes will probably get about 7 minutes if based on what we got last year ... which was crap. :thumbdown:

Stage one is already up on various U Tubes (Honda's Barredo-Bort won) ... mostly in Russian or Polish, but they show some of the EuroSport Helio shots. These come and go quickly as U Tube delete them for copyright problems.

ADV Rider Racing forum has hundreds of "experts" commenting on dozens of threads. Way too much to even begin to sift through. 90% garbage.

The Eurosport Brit commentators and local Chilean & Argentine women simply haven't a clue what this is all about. They really need an actual rider to handle commentary. Someone smart and articulate on air. Never happen of course.

The French organizers don't seem to have any interest in expanding this event more into North America.

In France, Italy, most of EU and much of the rest of the world ... Dakar coverage is on TV nearly 24/7 with dozens of behind the scenes reports and rider interviews. We get almost none of that. :nono:
