in August 2018 I was crossing North America on my 1999 Kawasaki KLR. I bought the bike in Old Saybrook, CT and dropped it off in Yakima, WA.
The 2 wheeled portion of the trip, 4800 mls trough 17 states, almost entirely on smaller state and provincial routes, took just 21 days and offered not only a cross sectional insight view of the country but marvellous impressions too.
The KLR was sniffing the miles without any fuss, only the battery ran dry and collapsed in the North Cascades. To be continued...
