Bumping this thread up so travelers in this area know Willi Motos is still operating in Montevideo.

Willi is a lovely character and got me a new Mitas rear tyre in under an hour when I called there a couple of days ago - and the price was two thirds of what I'd been quoted (for much less suitable tyres) when I was in Buenos Aires. His workshop looked capable of doing most repairs on travelers bikes - there was a KTM and a couple of BMW's there when I visited - it is also a bit of a museum of all sorts of interesting bikes.
