Where To Find Tires in Mexico, Cent. and S. America

I'm terrible at setting up data base type posts but since we see SO MANY questions about tires and where to find them, I thought I'd post something for folks to pass on info about:
Where they found tires?
What brand and type of tires available?
What about QUALITY, name brand real rubber tubes?
How long of a wait if ordered?
What sizes?
Prices?

Please list email/Tel./ and street address of seller if possible!

We all know local stocks constantly change. So no problem to update YOUR experience or even pass on reliable 2nd hand info. This is posted in Mexico-Cent. America forum but should include S. America as well. :thumbup1:

Be nice to have a quick source of CURRENT info on acquisition of tires/tyres and tubes ... please don't forget Tubes. Cheap tubes abound but good ones may be unobtainable. Any input of sourcing good Tubes also very useful.

I don't have much current information but can put this in for La Paz, Baja, Mexico.

Quite a few local shops (at least 4 I've visited there) will have stock of used (some very good, some crap) tires. Prices will be a bit high, but if you're desperate ... could work out. I sold a not too bad TKC80 21" Front to a guy at a Yamaha Quad shop for $10. Had at least 2 or 3K miles left in it. Was hauling a NEW tire, so sold off the TKC.

Most all La Paz shops may have revolving stock of tires in popular ADV sizes:
21" and 19" fronts all types.
17-130, 17-150, mostly road biased dual sport tires.
400-18 more rare but not unheard of. knobbies mostly worn.
Dirt knobby tires quite common, mostly 21" and 18" sizes.
Some quite good quality used but servicerable Tubes were for sale too!

I hope anyone who knows good sources of tires will post up info to help the next guy through riding on cord. bier

Nicaragua

It is located at the following coordinates: 12° 7'23.07"N 86°15'59.30"W.

More conventionally, or for those gps-challenged, it is located in "Zona Hippos" across the street (to the south) from Hotel Seminole and caddy corner from the Hilton Princess. There is a sweet blue Triumph sign over the shop.
