Seeking Rear Tire in Mazatlan
 

:clap: Hello travelers. My boyfriend is entering Mazatlán on his way to Panama seeking new rear tire (120/90 18) We see lots of shops but hard to tell which have tires in stock. Any suggestions/help would be great. Would love to save him some time touring shop vs. enjoying his trip.

Get on line and look up local shops. Call of email, see what they've got in stock.
Also, don't forget tubes (if required).

Guadalajara will have more, larger shops, would probably have more selection and someone may have tires in stock more than Mazatlan. There is a BMW dealer there as well as other good shops.

Also, reach out to HU Mexico community. Someone may be able to advise.

How could he run out of tire in Mazatlan heading South? Everyone knows you always fit NEW tires before crossing USA/Mexico border, right?

Now he'll pay double and may get a crap tire in the bargain. Next good deal (relatively) on tires will be Colombia. doh

If he'd fitted few tires in San Diego, he could have made Colombia on that set of tires. Only about 4000 miles from Border to Colombia. Most rear tires will go 5000 miles, fronts can go 8000 or more. (with normal use)

What other things has he forgotten? :oops2:
