ram support for camcorder

Hi guys I just tested my camcorderon the bike with a ram mount for it and I notice that the image is cHecking a bit due to vibration , if any of yo have a better mount to put on the handle I will love to know about it.

Is it high frequency vibes (like motor vibes) or low freq (like bouncing due tot the road)?

May not be able to avoid it without some extra bulky gear (stabilized). If you're on smooth road though, the RAM mount should be basically usable. If it's flexing (bouncing) too much then you may try the upsized ball mounts which use larger arms and (I believe) full one inch sized balls.

If you've got the money...check out camera mounts for sailing ships. Some of them are stabilized, have adjustable dampening and may help with low frequency vibrations.

Just a thought...

Perhaps putting it atop the tank bag would be more vibe free + better protected.

Which unit do you have? Have you made some arrangement for weather protection?

ram mount

I have the regular mount from ram , I don't really want to use it behind the windshield as the quality will suffer of it , protection wise I just put a polarized filter , whenth econdition are extreme I use a helmet cam from twenty 20 .
the vibration are more due to road condition, I wishe I could get someting with more anti vibration like I have on my touratech GPS mount.
