Horizons Unlimited - The HUBB - Is this a good actioncam

I have a Hero4 GoPro and that looks, well, better and worse. It actually looks like a good match for one of the Chinese ones - SJ Cam (which I also have one of!). As it's in Dutch I can't tell whether it needs a separate case to be waterproof (which the Hero4 and the SJ do). If it doesn't it's closer to the GoPro5.

Is it worth buying - ie what sort of results do you get from what are now 5yr old cameras. To be honest the GoPro software is streets ahead of the Chinese stuff but neither of them are particularly convenient to use. They're easy enough if you're sitting down and flicking through the menus but on the move they're all awkward. Neither of them are much cop in low light but the GoPro has all sorts of software options to try and convince you it is. I had to buy a remote for the GoPro before I could do anything much spontaneous with it on the bike. Otherwise you're starting and stopping all the time.

Quality wise the Go Pro is better but it's not a huge difference. You can cut and edit footage from both cameras together without really noticing a jump in quality. My stuff is all shot in HD rather than 4K because the 4k options are not brilliant on either of them and it takes a lifetime to edit 4K on my computers.

Bike footage in particular tends to be jumpy and jerky and it's only recently that in-camera stabilisation has been added. That's worth having and my next GoPro (prob next year) will have it.
