Hi All,
We have the following inspirational ad for you... The price has just come down, as we're now in Bishkek - time to sell!

1997 Hyundai Galloper 3L V6 Petrol for Sale in Bishkek, $4,500 USD ono

Some of you may will be more familiar with a Mitsubishi Pajero, that's what this is (rebadged for the Asian market). This particular vehicle, Rubiks, is a trooper, and is half way through his current mission – a month-long loop of Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan -> Uzbekistan -> Tajikistan -> Kyrgyzstan (prior to that it was owned by a Kyrgyz villageman and used sporadically as a hunting vehicle).

You may also think “eh, 4.5k for a 97 Pajero!?”, so did we, but feel free to have a look on Central Asian car sites – Kyrgyzstan is the cheapest, and most people we spoke to, including the mechanics, said we got a good deal. Petrol is also a good option as diesel engines are more sensitive to the variable fuel you'll get in some places.

We gave Rubiks a once over after purchasing:
• New fluids – Engine oil, gearbox oil, front & rear diff oils, coolant
• Suspension & chassis mounts check
• Quick service & elec check

Rubiks also has the following bonus additions:
• Set of new winter tyres (usually worth $200/tyre)
• Pop-up 3-man camo tent
• 20L steel jerry can
• Used ‘Central Asia’ Lonely Planet (latest edition)
• Probably some other stuff we purchase in the second half of the trip…

Rubiks will be released from our service when we return to Bishkek, planned for 1 June 2015. Ideally, we’d like to see him end up in the hands of another traveller so he can continue doing what he loves most. As you can see, Rubiks is made for the task – big fat tyres for absorbing everything Central Asian roads throw at you, 4WD for cutting your own tracks, good A/C, solid comfy seats with armrests, and a nice throaty purr. We have plenty of pic's if you'd like to see him.

If this sounds like a bit of you, get in touch: theovdw@gmail.com. We’ll respond as soon as we pick up internet again! In case you wish to speak to someone in Kyrgyz/Russian/German, a chap by the name of Sergei can help (he helped us in Bishkek and did a great job): +996555209399.

Cheers,
Theo
