Is it really that difficult to mention WHERE ......

.... the vehicle is?

Sorry, not interested in vehicles in Timbuktu, Bogotá, Ankara or Cairo and if you mention the location IN THE TITLE it saves everybody TIME.

Thanks.

Same with the price. If the people know they are asking too much, they are too affraid to post them right away so if there is an offer without price its 99,9% too expensive and not worth emailing and asking for the price!

Not to mention those too lazy or too stupid to post a complete description of the vehicle and other relevant information PLUS at least a couple of carefully selected images. Why force customers to look up stuff elsewhere or download from a dropbox.

exactly, and that is why I dont contact people anymore if there is no price in the add.

'tis a good point. I just took a quick scan of the recent for-sale ads in this sub-forum.

Of the last 10x for-sale ads, the location is only mentioned in 3 titles.

I was one member that brought this issue up YEARS AGO ... and IIRC, Grant responded and made it CLEAR that sellers must post location in title. But Grant's a nice guy and never deletes posts. Maybe one of the Mods can handle Classifieds and keep them following rules? Just a thought.

And ... as mentioned above ... should also be required to disclose other relevant facts about the bike/vehicle:

Year, make, model, Miles/km done, origin of bike, Title details.
Service history and other stuff optional but can only HELP with a sale.

But as mentioned, some are not the brightest bulbs and must not be serious about selling their bike. doh

There is the message that states as follows:
INCLUDE COUNTRY in subject, and include currency in the post
Please DELETE your post when it is sold.

My opinion is that
If the seller can't manage to think of what a reader needs to know in order to want to buy, they don't deserve for their vehicle to sell.
Moderators are not here to hold your hand and help you sell your vehicle. We clean up the spam we notice and that people report to us. And we try to help keep flame wars from happening when people can't be civil or accept differing opinions.
That said, if someone volunteers to help people sell their vehicles and stuff, I am fairly sure Grant will allow them to moderate the selling forums.
Volunteers anyone?

Because they are too lazy or too stupid apparently...

Perhaps too boring a job to attract serious interest given only one new topic per week on the average

Are you following the Classified forums lately (like last 10 years! :cool4:)

It's probably the most consistently active forum on HUBB. Always somebody selling or looking to buy something, somewhere. Very Latin America focused but I see new posts nearly every day, sometimes MANY in one day.

Other areas? yes, quiet. Too quiet, IMO. Does not seem to worry Grant.

Overall HUBB seems quiet to me in terms of what needs moderating.
With the 4 or 5 Mods here now, seems they could "time share" doing the
Classifieds, and still be stumbling over each other.
Not sure new moderators required. :innocent:
