Marocco Egypt by bicycle
Hi folks,
Together with a friend of mine I have planned a cycling trip from Holland to Marocco and further through North Africa to the Middle East. We have read all stories about the closed border between Marocco and Algeria and maybe Libia. But my question is: What happens when you cycle down these borders and just very patiently check all crossings for officers that have a "good day"? Or, what happens when you enter a country with visum through an unguarded bordercrossing? Any chance of getting in, staying in and getting into the next country Tunis? Geert |

Then you know the answer Geert. This border is long time closed, even for tourists on bicycles. Tous, pour la réouverture des frontères Algéro-Marocaines It may work in sub-Saharan Africa but Algeria is not a country I would try and sneak into from Morocco, even with a visa. The first checkpoint will look for your entry stamp. But from Alg eastwards via Tunisia, no problem. Ch |
