Ulaanbaatar to Zamyn Uud - Road conditions

I know there was a thread which, amongst other things, discussed the road between Ulaanbaatar and the Chinese border at Zamyn Uud but for the life of me I can't find it. So can anyone tell me what that road is like?

Also does anyone know if it is possible to load a motorbike on a train between either Zamyn Uud and UlaanBaatar or Beijing and Ulaanbaatar? We are going this year and are trying to work out our options. One of them has us short of time and taking the train north might save us a few days.

Zamiin Uud - UB road is paved now. No worries. Yes, you can put bikes on the train from Beejing, Zamiin uud to UB.
